Hobson's Choice

At Chris's graduation, only four months ago, we thought that we were going to be in Lexington for at least another year, living in the same house and trying to find a way to have a high risk baby on no health insurance. We thought Eleanor would be at the same Mother's Morning Out with the same friends, and I would be working the same jobs until little one appeared in December.
Now in mid-September, we're living in our own house in another state. Chris has a full-time, full-benefits job, which he loves. He has 111 students! And Eleanor and I are trying to figure out how to gracefully be together most of the time (and pretty much succeeding). I am still working the same jobs. And no baby coming now.
It's all mind-boggling.
